West Park 33 vs 15 OORUFC
A spirited performance from the whole team

The elusive victory this season was still out of reach for Otliensians away at West Park Bramhope last Saturday.

The final score of 33:15 really didn’t reflect what was witnessed from the side lines. Westpark enjoyed three easy tries resulting from Ensians mistakes, and a contentious penalty try.

I would always give credit to teams that capitalize on the mistakes of their opponents; it's part of the game, but we really didn’t make them work for their points. On the contrary Ensians battled for each of their three scores. Partly due to the conditions, the forwards dominated the game, with stellar performances from Jay Walsh who scored one try, and Ross Nicols scoring the other two. Sadly the conversions on each attempt were missed due to the swirling wind.

‘All in all’ it was a spirited performance from the whole team. They’ve had a tough season to date, but fought hard until the final whistle.
